CRESTLINE, Calif., July 24 (Inland Empire News Online) — A black bear pushed open the front door of the Crestline Village Water District office in Crestline on Wednesday afternoon, wandered through the lobby and main office for a few minutes and left without injuring anyone, according to district surveillance video and staff accounts.

The district said the bear entered at about 12:15 p.m. and stayed in the lobby for about two minutes before briefly going into the main office. Employees said there were no customers in the building at the time.

Video from the district shows the bear standing on its hind legs to open the door, then moving calmly through the office before heading back toward the woods. Staff said the animal left nose prints on the doors but caused no property damage.

The water district described the bear as small. An office manager said the animal seemed to be passing through.
