MIAMI, July 23 (Our Florida Times) — Burger King is changing how it handles customers and one of its best-known sandwiches.
The chain said it is rolling out two new moves based on customer feedback: a reworked restaurant manager role called the “Your Way Champion” and a “Whopper Guarantee” that promises a remake if a Whopper does not meet a guest’s expectations.
The announcement matters in Florida because Burger King’s official post came from Miami. But the company did not identify a Florida restaurant, franchisee or city that will get the changes first. The company also did not say whether the new manager role will be used in every store or only some locations.
What is the “Your Way Champion”?
Burger King describes the Your Way Champion as a reimagined restaurant manager role focused on the guest experience. The company said the person in that role will wear a dedicated uniform and act as a point person for customers. Burger King said the job is meant to help oversee customization and make sure orders are handled the way guests want them.
In its announcement, Burger King said the role is meant to put hospitality front and center. The company did not say whether the change affects wages, staffing levels or franchise labor costs.
What is the Whopper Guarantee?
The Whopper Guarantee is Burger King’s promise to remake a Whopper on the spot if it does not meet expectations. The company also said guests can get their next Whopper free, and that redemption will be handled with a QR code.
Burger King did not spell out the full terms of the offer, including whether it applies to every Whopper version or only the standard sandwich, and it did not explain every detail of the QR-code process.
Why is Burger King doing this now?
Burger King said the changes came from customer feedback collected earlier in the year through phone calls and text messages. The company said that effort generated thousands of responses.
Tom Curtis, president of Burger King US and Canada, has also talked publicly about the feedback campaign. In separate interviews, he said he personally responded to 1,800 customer calls and that Burger King had received more than 70,000 incoming communications. In another interview, he said 12,000 calls pointed the company toward more menu work.
Curtis said customers like the Whopper but sometimes felt it was squished or served on a bun they did not enjoy. Burger King said the goal of the new service changes is to make the order experience match what guests ask for.
How does this fit with the Whopper changes Burger King already made?
The service changes follow earlier updates to the Whopper itself. On Feb. 26, 2026, Burger King said it had changed the sandwich with a new glazed bun, creamier mayonnaise and clamshell-style packaging instead of paper. The company said the sandwich still uses more than a quarter-pound of 100% flame-grilled beef.
Burger King said those updates were the first major changes to the Whopper in almost 10 years and had rolled out to more than 7,000 locations nationwide.
Restaurant Brands International CEO Joshua Kobza said on the company’s earnings call that the redesigned sandwich was drawing positive guest feedback and helping drive the highest average unit volumes for the Whopper in more than three years.
What should Florida diners expect?
For now, the changes sound like a companywide effort to improve accuracy and satisfaction rather than a local Florida-only menu shift. The clearest takeaway for diners is that Burger King wants more direct fixes when a Whopper is not made right, and more attention from a manager role built around guest service.
The company’s announcement suggests Burger King is trying to make the Whopper feel more dependable, from the bun and packaging to the way a customer’s complaint is handled at the counter.
